OUR STORY
PriMed Processing was founded in 2001 by Cheryl Fisher. The company began as a one-woman, home-based business in Kernersville, North Carolina. Today, it is a full-service medical reimbursement company with a staff of certified coding analysts, billing assistants and account managers that provides billing services for healthcare practices and laboratories across multiple states.
Cheryl's Message
“I began my career in a multi-provider neurology and pain management practice, where I held jobs before, during and after graduating from college in 1997. By holding positions as a front desk administrator, medical technician, billing and collections manager, and business manager, I learned first-hand about the day-to-day insurance and billing needs of a healthcare provider and saw what worked and what didn’t.
In 1998, I had the opportunity to design and establish management and reimbursement procedures for a start-up biomedical research facility in North Carolina and began providing professional consulting services. Three years later, I opened PriMed Processing in my home with one client. Since then, I have invested in the best technology, fine-tuned what I call the PriMed Process, and carefully focused our growth in the unique specialties of sleep medicine, DME, IDTF and neurology.
I firmly believe that successful medical reimbursement begins with the initial patient referral and requires personal attention as well as a specific processing method to ensure accuracy and payment.
